This Winter Semester 2025, which starts January 10, Monroe County Community College and Lake Erie Transit will again offer free bus shuttle service for income-eligible MCCC students who reside in the City of Monroe or Frenchtown Charter Township. The shuttle will transport students from their home to the College’s Main Campus at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. in Monroe Township and back to home.

Each year, the One Book, One Community of Monroe County selection committee chooses a readily available and discussable book written by a major author, and invites Monroe County residents to read the same book at the same time and discuss it through a series of free programs running approximately one month. 2025 Title: Remarkably Bright Creatures, by Shelby Van Pelt

Each academic year, MCCC hosts its Entertainment and Events Series, which consists of a broad range of comedic, musical and theatrical performances, visiting artists and other community events. Most of the events take place at the La-Z-Boy Center, Meyer Theater, the college’s state-of-the-art performing arts venue.
